Julie is our pioneer, founder, and the visionary behind the styles at the only high-end salon in the greater New York area. Her passion for fashionable hair began in high school when, at just 15 years old, she trained under two of the top stylists in her hometown. Balancing her cosmetology studies while completing her high school diploma, Julie earned her license before heading to New York City.

In the city, Julie was introduced to the world of high-end salons, vibrant colors, and artistic expression. She apprenticed at the renowned La Coupe salon, owned by the iconic Helen Oppenheimer, where she further developed her skills and creative vision.

Fortunately for us, Julie brought her big-city expertise back to the Ithaca area, where she has owned, operated, and elevated hair standards at her salon for the past 30 years. She is also deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of stylists, dedicating her time to shaping the careers of young women from surrounding cosmetology schools. This dedication to mentorship has become a core part of her salon’s success, ensuring that the legacy of creativity, professionalism, and artistry continues to thrive.

Danu, born and raised in the heart of Ithaca, has been passionate about beauty from day one. After graduating from the TST BOCES Cosmetology program in 2019, she spent the last six years under the incredible mentorship of Julie, soaking up every cutting-edge technique in cutting, coloring, and styling. Julie’s guidance has been at the core of Danu’s growth, shaping her into a confident and skilled stylist. She started her salon journey as an enthusiastic intern, and with hands-on learning, she quickly became an essential part of the team. Danu absolutely adores transforming her clients’ looks through bold colors and bright highlights. Her vibrant personality and love for creative expression make every salon visit a fun and fabulous experience!

Elizete brings over 20 years of experience across three countries to our team. She began her career at Espaco Beleza Marlene Guedes, working directly under Marlene and honing her technical skills. After excelling at Instituto Técnico Do Cabeleireiro, she built a successful salon business for 12 years. Seeking to expand her expertise, she moved to Portugal and worked for two years at Martims E Gloria, a top salon specializing in color. Thankfully her husbands job at Cornell University brought them to us in the U.S. Elizete has been with us for over a year, already making a vibrant impact.
